Pool party time! Hammer's blog has pretty much the same story, you can check out his for a few different pics and some witty comments as always. One of the units that is attached to us for this deployment is the 1257th Transportation company out of West Virginia. They are getting ready to rotate back home in the near future, so they decided to put together a pool party. Their co-sponsors were the New Jersey Cav guys. They were nice enough to invite us to attend as well. It was a great time, they had a steaks, lobster tails, and chicken that they grilled up. We were impressed at how much better the meat tasted on the open grill as opposed to the normal broiling method. It was probably the best meal we've had since we've been here.
A water volleyball game. If you click on the pic to enlarge it you can see that some are wearing their Stetson in the water.
Me, SFC Kerchal, and SGT Hanseling enjoying an ice cold Becks NA.
SSG Johnson, SFC Kerchal, and the Hammer. If you look at the 2 pictures back to back you can tell how much taller I am than SSG Johnson.
The grill area.
Meat on the grill. Yummy. For some dumb reason we headed to the gym afterwards for our normal workout. It was one of the worst workouts as far as motivation that we've had. In hindsight we should have just skipped it and kept the memories of the summer 2006 pool party fresh in our minds.

Kane, you better watch it ... you're on thin ice with SSG Johson. Your comments are really pushing the envelope. I'm predicting SSG Johson will break into your room in the middle of the night and attempt some form of life-ending manuever in the very near future if you don't watch out. Oh by the way - keep up the good work.
Yes SGT Kane, you are a monster. I thought that you would have been satisfied after all of the times you have made me tell you that while you are lifting weights in the gym. Obviously I was wrong. It's odd to hear you and SGT Hanseling refer to me as SSG Johnson after all of the names I'm called in the office. You almost give everyone the idea that you two have some sort of military bearing.
